![]() ![]() THIS is what fans of the manfra have been waiting for the series to truly flex its story, just that the beginning journey is more rough to swallow than it is here, and unfortunately having to stomach Season 1 just disappointed both fans and newcomers and this gets shunned immediately. To add onto the insanity, if the same production staff and Lerche absolutely bogged the comedy in Season 1, the seriousness in tone is just as goog (not great, mind you) coming into Season 2 with a fleshed-out plot and visuals that still make the manga better than the anime, but where the latter nails it is in the pacing and story restructuring that's better than the former. All I can say was, it was a battle of epic proportions, and it's a redemption all to itself. Needless to say, there are deaths in battle to fight for what's right, but to the mainstay character cast (Seth, Melie, Doc), endless inquiring about them looking forward to find Radiant once again, just got caught on the wayside with facing the Inquisition again after what happened in the Rumble Town arc in Season 1. the sorcerers (a.k.a Seth and his brothers alongside support from Melie, Doc and others), and pick your side of the battle, because this battlefight outrageously affects those who are involved and maligned to the cause of their own calling. Without spoiling anything, it was literally an all-out war between regular humans (a.k.a the Inquisition plus a band of people) vs. 21 episodes, it could not be more fitting than that to show just how massive the divide between the massive character cast is. Season 2 here covers the long-running Caislean Merlin arc of Tony Valente's manfra, and for another If like many people, falling off the bandwagon after the atrocity that is the prequel, I highly implore you to give this series a 2nd chance with the sequel. Seth begins to wonder if it actually is possible to get rid of the Nemesis all together, although Alma cuts him off and warns him not to get any strange ideas. If there was anything to redeem this series as a whole, it would be the series' continuation a.k.a Season 2 here, as Season 1 is mainly just relegated to character introductions and development in the beginning arcs of small dosages, and absolutely creamed with fillers (because the story structure just doesn't fit easily to 21 episodes (whereas the standard is 24-26)). She nonchalantly predicts that if all of the Nemeses were to disappear, public opinion about sorcery would be different. ![]() As they speak, Seth expresses confusion as to why the villagers treated her so cruelly, despite her doing nothing wrong and often serving as their protector against the Nemeses. She berates him and also forbids him from stepping foot onto the Islet for a long while. Later that night, Seth is suspended by a rope outside of the house, and forced to clean its exterior with a mop as punishment. Before the villagers can continue to harass and assault Alma and Seth, Alma uses her magic as a diversion and flies off into the sky towards her Observatory. The villagers of Islet 21 are none too pleased about Seth's once again causing havoc to spread through the area. The cows begin to stampede, eventually chasing Seth and Tommy into the village where they're saved by the intervention of Alma. Sadly, despite his bravado, Seth's magical ability is raw and untrained, causing each attempt at a spell to be a dud! Embarrassed and eager to show off his real ability, the horned sorcerer finally moves on to use his original creation, the Titan Punch! With one mighty blow, the punch sends a massive boulder hurling into the air and inadvertently crashing into a nearby cow pasture. He removes a set of grimoire that were borrowed from Alma's bookshelf and begins with the demonstration. As usual, Seth arrives late and promises to show Tommy the absolute best magic at his disposal. Rly in the morning, Seth adventures through his usual stomping ground, Islet 21! As Seth is prone to do, his exploration distracts him from his main purpose of venturing into Pompo Hills, which is to show off some of his magical ability to his friend, Tommy. ![]()
