![]() Portia is Brutus’s wife in Julius Caesar, and another clothes designer in The Hunger Games. Also, in the Hunger Games, Cinna is an artist and designer, but also very poetic in how he executes his designs, which is comparable to Cinna the Poet. Cinna the Conspirator is one of the reasons that Caius brings in Brutus, who holds similarities to Katniss’s character. This is much like Cinna the Conspirator and Cinna the Poet from Julius Caesar. ![]() He is also a driving force in the rebellion, because the people of the capital look so carefully at aesthetics. Cinna, for example, is Katniss’s designer and also one of her main supporters. However, there are some similarities between the two sets of characters. This is an intriguing concept, because even though all of these characters don’t necessary exhibit the same characteristics as their namesakes, they make a connection and tie in the Hunger Games to Julius Caesar. Each of these names is present in both Julius Caesar and The Hunger Games. Cinna, Caesar, Flavius, Portia, Seneca, Brutus, Cato, et cetera. Additionally, I realized that Suzanne Collins produced a rather interesting piece of literature (but it is still waaayyy to obsessed over by people :)).įirst off, the names. Last night when I rewatched Catching Fire, I realized the similarities between The Hunger Games and Julius Caesar. ![]() However, I also read Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare in English last semester. ![]() I like them, and I enjoy the movies, but I don’t think that they deserve the obsession that they have received. Truthfully, I’m not the biggest Hunger Games fan. The second edition to the Hunger Games Trilogy, Catching Fire, was released in late November.
